Astros vs Braves Game 6 – Betting Predictions
Alright who gave the Game 5 article to the Houston clubhouse?! Houston had to of read it than came out firing in Game 5 putting up nine runs on 12 hits. Houston finally capitalized with runners in scoring position going 5-15. I think it is safe to say that Houston should be out of their offensive slump.
For Atlanta tonight we will see their southpaw, Max Fried. On the bump for Houston, we have Luis Garcia who is trying to redeem himself after his last outing.
This postseason Fried has started in four games. In those four games he has allowed 26 hits, 13 earned runs, three homeruns, 23 strikeouts, and a 5.40 ERA. His splits show that he can be roughed up the first time going through the rotation allowing a .703 OPS. His last sixty-day trends show increased in ground ball %, decrease in hard hit %, slight decrease in ahead of count %, and a decrease in wOBA.
Luis Garcia is not having the best postseason. He has started in four games and has allowed 11 hits, 11 earned runs, two homeruns, 11 walks, 18 strikeouts, and a 7.62 ERA. This guy is a big split pitcher. He is currently allowing a .548 OPS to right-handed batters and .814 OPS to left-handed batters. His last sixty-day trends show decrease in fly ball %, increase in hard hit %, increase in wOBA, and decrease in k%.
If you believe Houston has gotten over their offensive slump than I would strongly recommend Houston tonight. If you think it is a fluke than you will more than likely want the under 8.5.
Houston was the best team against LHP this season and I think they will do fine back at home. The game total keeps bouncing around from 8.5 to 9. I think Vegas believes there will be runs tonight.
Bet: Houston TT over 4.5 (+100).
Homerun prediction: Atlanta- Eddie Rosario or Freddie Freeman, Houston- Alex Bregman or Michael Brantley
