Welcome everyone to our Lineup Optimizer strategy article for 5/20/22. This is a new article I will be doing daily that discusses the stacks and players the optimizer is popping for today's slate. We are very blessed to have out optimizer powered by SaberSim -- and you can get access by clicking HERE. Let's get into it...
Friday Night Build
As I've noted in the past, I like to build and play three max entry contests when I think there is a clear edge at pitcher and I can lock in two I like and build a few stacks around them. That isn't the case tonight, and I think it's pretty wide open at pitcher so I'll be building for a smaller field single entry tournament per usual.
Top Stacks
Coors Field was already PPD for tonight, so I didn't need to remove that game manually. I went ahead and locked in Chase Silseth at pitcher, with him being my favorite point per dollar option on Friday.
The sims love the Dodgers and Angels tonight, and I can pretty much agree with both spots. I do think it's a great night to stack the Dodgers against Ranger Suarez, and they will likely be my choice for my build. Suarez has struggled mightily this season, he isn't striking batters out and is pretty much solely relying on ground balls. He's still gotten by against left-handed batters, but the Dodgers lineup is a different beast and they have quality batters on both sides of the plate up and down the order. Furthermore, he throws a lot of sinkers and the Dodgers have a good amount of batters that succeed against that pitch. Overall, I will be focusing my stack tonight around the Dodgers righties and guys that have success vs sinkers -- guys like Chris Taylor and Trea Turner stick out but I would be adding in Mookie Betts, Justin Turner and others as well.
