AFC EAST:

Buffalo Bills- 11.5 Wins: STAY AWAY

Some of the best advice we can provide is when NOT to bet. The Buffalo Bills are a prime example. Many around the league believe the Buffalo Bills may be the best team in the NFL. The Bills have an offensive juggernaut led by Josh Allen, matched by an improving defense. The Bills feel like a slam dunk to win the AFC East again. So what's the problem?

The division around the Bills is improving. Every team in the division will be better than they were in 2021. The Bills also have a challenging schedule early, including road games against the defending Super Bowl champs, the Los Angeles Rams, and road tilts at the Ravens and Chiefs.

Could the Bills still get to 12-5? Possibly, I just wouldn't bet on it.

New England Patriots- 8.5 WINS: OVER -125

If you look back to last year, the New England Patriots were breaking in rookie Mac Jones at the quarterback position. The Patriots played a bit more conservatively on offense. I recognize that they lost offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels to the Las Vegas Raiders, but I still believe they will be more aggressive on offense.

The Patriots won 10 games a year ago--so this line is a bit of a head-scratcher. A more competent Mac Jones prepared to take a leap, with a better offensive cast around him, I would confidently take the OVER.

Miami Dolphins- 9 WINS: STAY AWAY

The Miami Dolphins made headlines this off-season with the firing of Brian Flores, the hiring of Mike McDaniel, and the acquisition of WR Tyreek Hill. With the combination of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, the Dolphins appear poised to leap forward offensively.

The Miami Dolphins September schedule is brutal! New England, at Baltimore, vs. Buffalo, at Cincinnati. The Dolphins likely get off to a slow start, and we hear rumblings calling for Tua Tagovailoa's benching.

The Miami Dolphins got off on a slow start last year and rebounded for a 9-8 season. They may have to do so again in 2022. Regardless, I don't feel confident enough to lay down cash on this one. I would stay clear.

NEW YORK JETS- 5.5 WINS: UNDER +145

There is momentum around league reporters that this could be a breakout season for the New York Jets. You won't catch me as one of those spreading this propaganda.

I love what the New York Jets did in the draft. The addition of Ahmad Gardner is going to help their secondary a ton. Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall will open up the Jets' offense.

The New York Jets will be a better team in 2022. The question is: will it result in more wins? I will gently direct you to the New York Jets schedule:

vs. Ravens
at Browns
vs. Bengals
at Steelers
vs. Dolphins
at Packers
at Broncos
vs. Patriots
vs. Bills
at Patriots

These are the first ten games of the Jets' schedule in 2022. I don't believe the Jets will be the favorite in ANY of those games. The Jets feel like a team a year away from being a year away. I'll take the UNDER.
