2022 NFL Futures | AFC South Win Totals

With the NFL season on the horizon, it is time that we dive into one of our favorite pastimes. We are officially in Team Win Total Season! Today we dive into the AFC South as we give you the winners!

AFC SOUTH:

Tennessee Titans- 9 Wins: UNDER -115

A yearly exercise unlike any other, underrating the Tennessee Titans. Admit it--we do it every year. The Tennessee Titans are not a sexy pick, but somehow, the Titans were the #1 seed in the playoffs last year. Similar to the Pittsburgh Steelers, we know the Tennessee Titans will be well coached and play hard every week. 

The Tennessee Titans have a brutal stretch during their schedule in 2022. Within a seven-game span, the Titans face the Chiefs, Broncos, Packers, Bengals, Eagles, and Chargers. 

The Titans will struggle to replace the offensive firepower when they traded away A.J. Brown. 2022 feels like the year where things unravel for the Titans. I will lean the UNDER.

Indianapolis Colts- 10 Wins: OVER -105

The 2022 Indianapolis Colts feel like they could be this year's Tennessee Titans. The Colts have the feel of a team ready to contend. What the Colts need is a reliable anchor at the quarterback position. 

The acquisition of Matt Ryan from Atlanta is a big deal for the Indianapolis Colts and the AFC. We know the Texans and Jaguars are downtrodden, so the Colts get several easy wins on their schedule. 

The Indianapolis Colts may not be the sexy call heading into 2022, but they are the right call. The Colts eclipse double-digit victories this season. Take the OVER.

Houston Texans- 4.5 Wins: UNDER -120

The Houston Texans remain a franchise without a direction. Davis Mills has been serviceable at best and remains under center for the Houston Texans. 

The Houston Texans feel like a team in the team in their infancy of a complete rebuild. The AFC is a murderer's row with how many explosive teams are in this conference. I don't see how the Texans can compete.

Do yourself a favor: look at the Texans roster and tell me how they will get to five wins. I can't get there. I'll take the UNDER.

Jacksonville Jaguars- 6.5 Wins: UNDER -130

Before peaking over to the DraftKings lines for team totals, my initial impression was that the Jacksonville Jaguars improve in 2022. Doug Pederson should bring reliability to the Head Coach position that the Jaguars lacked a season ago. We all love Trevor Lawrence and anticipate a second-year leap in 2022. We even like some of the pieces the Jaguars assembled around Lawrence--Travis Etienne and Christian Kirk.

Here is the issue: to reach the over, the Jaguars have to win seven games! The Jacksonville Jaguars can improve dramatically. The Jaguars can DOUBLE their win total and STILL not make the over. 

The Jaguars have little shot of improving this dramatically in one season. HAMMER THE UNDER!
