NFC EAST:

Dallas Cowboys- 10 Wins: UNDER -110

The Dallas Cowboys ran away with the NFC East a season ago with a 12-5 record. Some may be surprised to see their win-total set at '10'. There are a few reasons why this should not come as a surprise:

The NFC East has been a weak division for quite some time, and the Cowboys feasted on their division opponents in 2021. Look around the division. It would appear that each team has improved and will be a challenge to the Cowboys in 2022.

I believe the Cowboys will miss the loss of Amari Cooper much more than they anticipate. Remember, Michael Gallup is also still nursing an injury and is not likely back for the opener. James Washington's recent injury places the offensive weaponry around Dak Prescott in disarray.

Dive into the Cowboys 2022 schedule. It is significantly tougher than the 2021 version, with many road tilts in adverse environments.

I am expecting the Cowboys to slide significantly in 2022, and for that reason, I am taking the UNDER.

Philadelphia Eagles- 9.5 Wins: OVER -150

The Philadelphia Eagles are one of my favorite bets to make in 2022. The Eagles may be the most improved team in the NFL this year.

The Eagles added A.J. Brown to a receiving room that has DeVonta Smith. Throw in Dallas Goedert, and the Eagles have the best pass-catchers in several years.

The Eagles signed Haason Riddick in free agency, drafted Jordan Davis in the 2022 NFL Draft, and signed displaced James Bradberry post-draft to add some juice to an improving defense.

If Jalen Hurts can take a step forward in his second season as a starter, the Philadelphia Eagles will smash expectations. HAMMER THE OVER!

Washington Commanders- 8 Wins: UNDER -120

I  don't see it with the Washington Commanders. What am I missing?

The Commanders have Carson Wentz at QB. Wentz has been traded the last two off-seasons, not a ringing endorsement. Reportedly, his passing has been erratic in mini-camp--not a surprise.

The dominant defense in 2020 proved to be fool's gold in 2021, and their most dominant defender, Chase Young, is nursing an injury.

Please explain to me how this team has a winning record in 2022. I see no evidence to support the notion. HAMMER THE UNDER!

New York Giants- 7 Wins: STAY AWAY

The New York Giants are one of the more fascinating teams in the league. Brian Daboll brings a high level of intrigue from Buffalo. We saw what Daboll did with Josh Allen in a short period. The question is: can he do the same with Daniel Jones?

The Giants have some pieces in place. Saquon Barkley, Kadarius Toney, and Wan'Dale Robinson make up an explosive core that can cause problems for a defense.

The Giants added some foundation pieces in the 2022 NFL Draft to their offensive and defensive lines. The Giants will be a stronger unit up front on both sides of the ball.

The New York Giants are going to be a tough out in 2022. I would anticipate a great deal of improvement. Can they get to seven wins? It is going to be on the money. Too close to call. Stay clear of this one.
