Welcome to the beginning of the college football conference preview. My colleague Adam Glick and I will preview every conference and share our season predictions and winners. Today let's break down the Big Ten.

A quick reminder for our readers: these odds are on DraftKings Sportsbook. The lines from DraftKings may vary depending on when you read these articles.

BIG TEN:

Ohio State (10.5 Wins): OVER (-220)

We have detailed our love for the Ohio State Buckeyes throughout the off-season. The Buckeyes' offense is loaded and balanced with pass-catchers all over the field. Tre'Veyon Henderson is a stud in the backfield to keep the defense honest. I see no reason to doubt the Buckeyes running the table with an undefeated regular season and advancing to the College Football Playoff. Slam the Over.

Michigan (9.5 Wins): OVER (-110)

I believe Michigan does take a step back in 2022, but they have a soft schedule. I could see a watered-down Wolverine team running the table for a battle of unbeaten teams against the Buckeyes in the season finale. Even if they were to slip up against one of the Spartans or Nittany Lions, Michigan would still eclipse 9.5 wins. Since all they have to do is split those two games, I'll take the Over.

Wisconsin (8.5 Wins): OVER (-145)

Wisconsin has an easy early season schedule, which means they will hit the ground running--literally. The Badgers always have one of the strongest running games in the country. With Chez Mellusi and Braelon Allen back, 2022 will be no different. This line feels low for a team that is in contention every year. Take the Over.

Penn State (8.5 Wins): UNDER (-130)

Penn State is missing a ton of firepower as they lost Jahan Dotson to the draft and Noah Cain to the transfer portal. Sean Clifford does return to provide stability at the QB position, but the 8.5 feels aggressive with their schedule. I'll take the Under.

Nebraska (7.5 Wins): UNDER (-105)

Nebraska feels like a team that is looking for a place to land. The Cornhuskers have a tough schedule and a coach on his way out. Take the Under with conviction.

Michigan State (7.5 Wins): OVER (-120)

Michigan State feels like a Smash Over play here at 7.5 wins. I like the balance of Payton Thorne at QB, with a dynamic duo at running back in Jarek Broussard and Jalen Berger. The only concern is the Spartans have a three-week stretch: vs. Buckeyes, vs. Badgers, at Michigan. The Spartans can navigate this stretch and clear the Over.

Minnesota (7.5 Wins): OVER (-105)

Minnesota catches a break on the schedule as they will avoid the Buckeyes and the Wolverines. The Gophers are another team that has a nice balance offensively. Tanner Morgan at QB and a returning Mohamed Ibrahim will make defenses second guess themselves. Take the Over.

Iowa (7.5 Wins): STAY AWAY

The Iowa offense was horrendous a year ago, and I don't see many signs of life heading into 2022. Iowa seems to overachieve every season, and 7.5 wins seem spot on. I would STAY AWAY.

Purdue (7.5 Wins): UNDER (-140)

I like Aidan O' Connell at QB for the Boilermakers, but the cupboard is bare at the receiver position. Purdue feels like a 6-7 win team. I will take the Under.

Maryland (6 Wins): UNDER (-100)

The Terps have an offense you can get excited about, with Taulia Tagovailoa leading the way. The schedule gets tough following an easy season cakewalk. Six wins feel aggressive--I'll take the Under.

Illinois (4.5 Wins): OVER (-105)

Illinois will be better than many believe. Tommy DeVito transferring from Syracuse is a big deal for the Illinois offense. Illinois should have a much more explosive offense than they have had as of late. I'll take the OVER.

Indiana (4.5 Wins): UNDER (-140)

I'm bearish on Indiana. I know the Hoosiers have a soft early-season schedule, but I don't think it matters. Indiana is a 3-4 win team. Take the Under.

Northwestern (3.5 Wins): UNDER (-145)

Northwestern had one of the worst offenses in the NCAA in 2021. The good news--the Wildcats are a veteran team returning plenty of starters. I'm going to lean the OVER.
