College Football is on fire early in the season! Several stunning upsets this past weekend, including Notre Dame falling for the second consecutive week and plummeting out of the Top 25.
Kentucky moves into the Top 10 with a second consecutive impressive victory.
We move along to Week Three, where there are several intriguing match-ups. Without further adieu, let's dive in!
(If you need to know where to bet, find sportsbook options in your state HERE.)
A once-heralded rivalry has now become lopsided. The Oklahoma Sooners are wildly more talented than the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Dillon Gabriel has orchestrated a balanced attack that will run a rough shot over Nebraska. Take the Sooners going away.
The Georgia Bulldogs' defense is the most dominating unit in college football. The Bulldogs have given up a total of three points in two games! I don't see Spencer Rattler and company putting up much of a fight--the Bulldogs run away and hide. Take Georgia.
These two teams know each other very well. Cincinnati is still figuring things out. The Bearcats win, but this is way too many points. Take Miami (OH).
The Baylor Bears are licking their wounds after losing to the BYU Cougars. Baylor Bears will take their frustrations out on the poor Texas State defense. Baylor piles on the points. Take Baylor.
Syracuse has been wildly impressive in the early going. The Orangemen have a balanced attack that features running back Sean Tucker. At home, I'll take Syracuse to keep their momentum going.
We know the Chip Kelly-led Bruins offense has no issues putting up the points. The Bruins are getting it done with a balanced attack. UCLA has too much firepower for South Alabama. Take the Bruins.
I'm taking Connecticut in this one--way too many points to give a competent program.
Brennan Armstrong, QB for the Cavaliers, was beaten up last week against a formidable Illinois defense. I am banking on a bounce-back performance this week. Take the Cavaliers.
Sean Clifford has the Penn State offense rolling to start the season. A tricky spot for the Nittany Lions, but I believe they have prepared. I will take Penn State to win on the road.
BYU has been impressive, capitalizing on a victory last week over Baylor. Eugene is a tough place to play, but I haven't been nearly as impressed with Oregon. BYU is getting points in this one. I believe the Cougars can win outright. I'll take BYU.
Colorado is a struggling program, but Minnesota should not be giving four touchdowns to anyone. I'll take Colorado to cover.
Liberty will be game for a little while, but ultimately, the talent of Wake Forest will overwhelm them in the 2nd half. I'll take Wake.
Washington State has kicked off the season with two gritty performances, including upsetting Wisconsin last week. The offense under Cam Ward kicks it into gear this week. I'll take the Cougars.
The win over Southern does nothing to qualm my concerns around the LSU program. Will Rogers has the Mississippi State offense rolling. The Bulldogs pull away from the Tigers in Baton Rouge.
Ohio State has way too much talent for Toledo to contend. The Buckeyes romp in this one.
Anthony Richardson and the Florida offense struggled mightily against Kentucky last week. I look for the Gators to get back on track this week and win convincingly over South Florida.
Taulia Tagovailoa has some legit high-end options at the receiver position to threaten a defense all over the football field. SMU cannot hang with the explosiveness for four quarters. Take the Terps.
Speaking of explosiveness, have you seen USC play yet? The Trojan offense looks as good as any in the country. I don't know how Fresno State can slow them down. USC wins by three scores.
