CFB Best Betting Dogs Week 6

Welcome to Week 6’s version of college football's best betting dogs. I will be breaking down five top-25 matchups and how much chance there is of an upset. As we have seen throughout the first half of the season, anything is possible on any given Saturday. Let’s look at a few intriguing games that could surprise the college football landscape.

#17 TCU at #18 Kansas (KU +6.5): The Pick (KU +6.5)

Who would have thought that on October 8th College GameDay would be in Lawernce Kansas? Yet here we are, and this game couldn’t be more critical for both sides. I think the Jayhawks have a real shot of getting to 6-0 and winning their fourth game outright as dogs. I am taking Kansas to cover and TCU to survive a challenging road test. 

#8 Tennessee at #25 LSU (LSU +3.5): The Picks (LSU +3.5, LSU ML)

This game screams trap line. Volunteers have one of the most prolific offenses in the country. They have one of the biggest games in school history next week against Alabama. Before that matchup, Tennessee has to motivate to try to avoid an upset at LSU. Many people wrote the Tigers off after Week 1’s loss. The Tigers are a good team and playing in this environment will not be easy for Tennessee. I am taking the dog outright in this game with the points and the Moneyline!

#11 Utah at #18 UCLA (UCLA +3.5): The Pick (Over 64.5)

This game is incredibly hard to gauge. The Bruins are coming off an emotionally upset win at home against Washington last week. The Utes quietly put the beatdown on Oregon State, which is a quality football team. I think the game remains close throughout but Utah will survive. I am not confident in either side so I am siding with the Over. 

#20 Kansas State at Iowa State (ISU +1.5): The Pick (KSU -1.5)

The Iowa State Cyclones find new ways to lose Big 12 conference games week after week. They missed three field goals in their loss to Kansas last week losing 14-11. I see them keeping the game low scoring throughout but squandering the game late once again. Kansas State was my dark horse to win the Big 12, and I think they have shown why so far. Give me the Wildcats with the points on the road this week in Ames.

#16 BYU vs Notre Dame (ND -3.5): The Pick (BYU +3.5, BYU ML)

Can someone give me some love for the Cougars? I think the Cougars are a much better football team than Notre Dame and it’s a crime that they are the underdog. Remember this game is being played in Las Vegas so it is basically a neutral site contest. BYU will control the ground game and Notre Dame will struggle to score all night. I am taking another dog to cover and win outright! Let’s hope this game ends before midnight so BYU can properly pray after their win on Sunday.
