10/15/22: THE PREGAME--Breaking Down Our Favorite Plays For Week 7

Ryan Broyles

The College Football season rolls on with action every week!

Alabama held on to defeat Texas A&M and remain unbeaten.

Georgia and Ohio State throttled inferior opponents.

USC continues to dominate the competition out West.

Another winning week is in the books at 9-7. If you are not tailing by now, what are you waiting for?

We move along to Week Seven, where there are several intriguing match-ups. Without further adieu, let's dive in!

(If you need to know where to bet, find sportsbook options in your state HERE.)

WEEK 7:

Penn State Nittany Lions at Michigan Wolverines (-7)

Michigan has not had a test as of yet. That will change as the Nittany Lions come to town. Expect the Wolverines to be up for the challenge. Michigan pulls away late.

Iowa State Cyclones at Texas Longhorns (-17)

Texas has been one of the more impressive teams in the country this season. The Longhorns throttled the Sooners on Saturday and took Alabama to the limit. Iowa State can't stay with the Texas talent. The Longhorns win by 20.

Oklahoma State Cowboys at TCU Horned Frogs (-3.5)

TCU has played a tough brand of football all season long. Oklahoma State is talented, but I'll stick with the home Horned Frogs in this one.

Washington State Cougars at Oregon State Beavers (-3.5)

Washington State and Oregon State are two evenly matched teams. I like the Cougars to win outright in this spot, so I take the points.

Nebraska Cornhuskers at Purdue Boilermakers (-14)

Purdue was impressive in their victory over Maryland last week. Nebraska is a program looking for a crash landing. Take the Boilermakers.

Alabama Crimson Tide (-7.5) at Tennessee Volunteers

Expect Bryce Young to return in this one. Tennessee is legit. The Volunteers made believers out of non-believers last week as they destroyed LSU. Tough call here, but I'll stick with the Crimson Tide to win by two scores.

Maryland Terrapins (-10.5) at Indiana Hoosiers

This a get-right game for the Terps, following last week's loss to Purdue. The Hoosiers will be no match for the explosive Maryland offense.

Arkansas Razorbacks (-1.5) at BYU Cougars

Surprisingly, Arkansas was blown out last week by Mississippi State. KJ Jefferson and the Razorback offense get back on track against a Cougars' vulnerable defense. Take Arkansas.

NC State Wolfpack at Syracuse Orangemen (-3.5)

I have been impressed with both teams throughout 2022. NC State narrowly escaped with a victory over Florida State last week. The Wolfpack can pull off the outright win here, so I'm taking the points.

Vanderbilt Commodores at Georgia Bulldogs (-39.5)

I hate giving this many points, but Vanderbilt is horrendous. Georgia scores all afternoon long. Take Georgia.

Stanford Cardinal at Notre Dame Fighting Irish (-16.5)

Stanford notoriously plays Notre Dame tough. The Fighting Irish are not good enough to be a three-score favorite. Take the Cardinal to keep it close.

LSU Tigers at Florida Gators (-3)

LSU was embarrassed last week by the Tennessee Volunteers. Florida has been one of the most up-and-down teams in the nation. I like the Tigers to go on the road and pull off the upset over the Gators.

Clemson Tigers (-4.5) at Florida State Seminoles

Clemson has way too much on both sides of the ball. Florida State can't keep up with the Tigers. Take Clemson.

Mississippi State Bulldogs (-7) at Kentucky Wildcats

Will Levis was a game-time decision last week, before ultimately not playing. Expect Levis to return this week at home. Kentucky will have its hands full with the red-hot Bulldogs, but Levis has enough magic to cover the spread. Take Kentucky getting the points.

USC Trojans at Utah Running Utes (-3.5)

I had to double-check this spread when I saw it. No respect for MY USC Trojans! USC has been strong all season long. A road trip against Utah will be the Trojans' largest challenge to date, but I believe they are up for it. Take USC to win outright on the road.

Nevada Wolfpack (-6) at Hawaii Rainbow Warriors

Hawaii is dreadful. Nevada isn't great, but less terrible. Take the Wolfpack.
