10/13/22: THE PREGAME--Breaking Down Every NFL Game In Week 6

Ryan Broyles

We turn into Week 6, the bye weeks kick in, and we have fewer games on the slate.

We must prioritize the games on the slate to provide you with all the winners!

The BIG weeks are on the horizon! Get in now while we hit our stride!

WEEK 6:

Washington Commanders at Chicago Bears (-1) (37.5)

We have another scintillating match-up between the Carson Wentz-led Commanders against the Justin Field-led Bears. Not exactly Rodgers vs. Brady. The Bears have little to no offense to speak of. The Commanders have at least a pulse. Brian Robinson provides Washington with the most balance that they have had in weeks.

Commanders 23

Bears 20

San Francisco 49ers (-5.5) at Atlanta Falcons (42)

The San Francisco 49ers have struck a proper balance between offense and defense under Jimmy Garoppolo and a strong running game anchored by Jeff Wilson Jr. The Falcons are the only 5-0 team in the NFL against the spread. The Falcons' luck runs out in this one.

49ers 27

Falcons 20

New England Patriots at Cleveland Browns (-2.5) (42)

Rhamondre Stevenson week is upon us. The Browns are the worst team in the league against the RB position. The Patriots are as committed to the running game as any team in the NFL. Still, I believe the Browns are the more balanced offense and will prevail at home.

Browns 24

Patriots 21

New York Jets at Green Bay Packers (-7) (44)

The way to defeat the Packers is to run the ball against them. Expect the Jets to commit to Breece Hall and Michael Carter throughout this one. The Packers need to get their season on the right track before they fall out of contention. Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Jones lead the Pack to much-needed relief at home.

Packers 30

Jets 20

Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts (-7) (41)

Jonathan Taylor returning would be great news for a struggling Colts' offense. The Jaguars are reeling a bit heading into this one, losing their last two. I see this game as a coin-flip, so I jumped in on the Jaguars early, getting the points.

Colts 23

Jaguars 20

Minnesota Vikings at Miami Dolphins (-3) (45)

Minus Tua Tagovailoa and Teddy Bridgewater, the Miami Dolphins' high-octane offense is less explosive heading into this week's match-up with the 4-1 Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are under the radar, but their balance on offense between the passing game featuring Justin Jefferson and the running game featuring Dalvin Cook is as strong as any in the NFL.

Vikings 27

Dolphins 21

Cincinnati Bengals (-1.5) at New Orleans Saints (43)

We are still unclear whether Jameis Winston or Andy Dalton will be under center for the New Orleans Saints. The Bengals' passing game has not worked on all cylinders yet and could be without Tee Higgins in this one. I'm leaning on Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase to get it done here.

Bengals 27

Saints 21

Baltimore Ravens (-3.5) at New York Giants (43)

The Giants have been playing over their heads, with a 4-1 record. The Ravens have too much firepower on offense and too much of a pass rush on defense. The Ravens eventually overwhelm the G0men in this one.

Ravens 27

Giants 20

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers (42)

The Buccaneers roll into Pittsburgh to face the much-maligned Steelers' pass defense. Kenny Pickett and the Steelers' playmakers keep it close in the 1st half, but the Buccaneers and Tom Brady take control and pull away with ease in the 2nd half.

Buccaneers 31

Steelers 20

Carolina Panthers at Los Angeles Rams (-9) (41)

The Rams' offense is struggling mightily in 2022. You can say the same about the Panthers. The Panthers usher in PJ Walker under center as he replaces the injured Baker Mayfield. If either of these teams will right the ship, I'll take the defending Super Bowl champs.

Rams 24

Panthers 13

Arizona Cardinals (-2.5) at Seattle Seahawks (51)

Expect a shoot-out in Seattle between NFC West rivals Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks. Geno Smith is leading one of the most surprising offenses in the league. Kyler Murray is leading an offense that is scratching the surface of its potential. I'm leaning toward the Cardinals, as Kyler Murray works his magic late to pull off the victory.

Cardinals 31

Seahawks 27

Buffalo Bills (-1.5) at Kansas City Chiefs (53)

The one we have all been waiting to see--the Bills and Chiefs continue their rivalry as Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes match throw for throw. The Chiefs got the better of the Bills the last time around. I know Kansas City is home, but the Bills feel like they are on a mission. I'm taking Josh Allen and Buffalo in this one.

Bills 34

Chiefs 31

Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles (PK) (42)

The NFC East rivalry renewed on Sunday Night as the 5-0 Eagles, the last unbeaten team in the NFL, host the white-hot Dallas Cowboys. Cooper Rush is starting under center for the Cowboys again. The Dallas defense will pose problems for the Eagles' offense. Ultimately, I'm leaning on the Eagles' balanced offense to pull off the victory at home and remain undefeated.

Eagles 24

Cowboys 21

Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers (-3) (47)

The Denver Broncos have not lived up to the hype this season. Reports indicate that Russell Wilson is not at 100% and playing through an injury. The Chargers could use WR Keenan Allen back in this one to provide some much-needed consistency to an offense that has been too up-and-down this season. Until the Broncos show that they have turned it around, you have to take the Chargers at home in this one.

Chargers 24

Broncos 20
