Bowl Season Record: 3-2 / Overall: 34-36-1 (47.9%)

Bowl season has been a wild ride per usual.  It has had everything from stars opting out, to big underdogs winning, to triple overtime thrillers, to schools with big legacies not showing up, etc.  It’s what makes the Bowls so intoxicating yet incredibly hard to handicap.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the bowls are made for live betting because you can really get a feel for which team wants to be there in the first few series.

I provided a Top 5 for the first weekend of bowls and have provided some plays in our discord.  Today I’m going to give you a 3 picks for 12/29 and 12/30.  On Friday, I’ll release my picks for the Playoffs as well as the other New Year’s 6 Bowls coming up Saturday and Monday in a traditional Top 5.

Hope everyone is surviving out there!

Bowl Season: Dec. 29th – Dec. 30th

3. Arizona BowlOhio (-1.5 -110) vs. Wyoming – Friday Dec. 30th – 4:30 PM

I don’t have much to say about this game other than Wyoming is not a very good football team.

Not only that but they have a handful of skill players in the transfer portal.  Meanwhile the MAC, as I predicted, has been showing out all bowl season!  Got to love the MAC.

Ohio has been a covering machine this season as well and I’m betting they handle the Cowboys with relative ease Saturday afternoon in the first ever Barstool Sports telecast.

2. Duke’s Mayo Bowl – Maryland VS. #23 NC State (-1 -110) – Friday Dec. 30th – 12 PM

This game is simple for me.  Who is the tougher team?  For me that’s the Wolfpack.

Maryland has 3 Wide Receivers who have opted out.  NC St lost their offensive coordinator to Coastal Carolina.  Both offenses haven’t lit the world on fire when their whole so this could be a really ugly watch Saturday early afternoon.

State’s true freshman QB MJ Morris will be under center and he is the future.  After a shaky start, he played pretty well in three consecutive games before stepping back on the sidelines.

The Terps have been a sloppy team to say the least this season and NC St usually pounces on dumb teams who get in their own way.  Give me the ‘Pack.

Fun fact – this is a former ACC rivalry and the historical record sits at 33-33-4.  That’s like a Top 5 record!

1. Cheez-It Bowl – Oklahoma VS #13 Florida St (-9.5 -110) – Thursday Dec. 29th – 5:30 PM

Florida St has themselves a quasi-home game four hours south in Orlando.

With all the flight cancellations around the country, even the die-hard Oklahoma fans are going to have to dig real deep to want to watch their 6-6 Sooners as an almost double-digit underdog.

These are two schools going in complete opposite directions.

FSU has had a very good season.  They appear to be “back” amongst the ACC’s elite and have a lot of players excited to play in this game.  Oklahoma on the other hand has had numerous opt outs and guys enter the transfer portal as we approach kick-off.

The Sooners will have QB Dillon Gabriel but mostly backups in front and behind him.  The starting left tackle, right tackle, center, and running back will all be watching this game from the sidelines or on their couches.  The FSU front four will be able to wreak havoc on Gabriel all night without blitzing.

None of these Seminoles have won a bowl game, nay, none of these Seminoles have even PLAYED in a bowl game in an FSU uniform.  Oklahoma has absolutely no motivation while Florida St. will certainly be excited for the chance to get their team to a well deserved 10-win season.

Good Luck!
