MLB Betting 5/19/23 - HR Predictor

Welcome in to a new article for 2023...the HR Predictor! This will be a daily article, where I use my own research to highlight a few names I think are in a great position to hit a homerun on each days slate! These are low unit bets -- between 0.1 and 0.3 units -- with typically high-odds and we will only need to hit one or two a week to make some money! Patrick Wisdom +400 (0.2u)

We have a huge MLB slate tonight, and immediately the odds on Patrick Wisdom jumped out to me. Wisdom is still fourth-overall in the HR race, and I like the spot here against Ranger Suarez. Suarez hasn't throw a ton this season, but we know that Wisdom has massive power against left-handed pitching. Since the start of last season, he owns a team-high .326 ISO in the split. He also has multiple XBH against Suarez in a few career at-bats, which isn't shocking given how good he is against southpaw pitching. Overall, I think there is value in the 4/1 odds and he's my favorite HR pick for Friday night.
