MLB Betting 5/26/23 - HR Predictor

Welcome in to a new article for 2023...the HR Predictor! This will be a daily article, where I use my own research to highlight a few names I think are in a great position to hit a homerun on each days slate! These are low unit bets -- between 0.1 and 0.3 units -- with typically high-odds and we will only need to hit one or two a week to make some money! If you're interested in all of my MLB betting and prop picks, plus access to our PrizePicks Predictor, you can sign-up by clicking HERE. With that being said, let's dive in...

UPDATED HR RECORD: 14-42 +$335.00

Note: This unit scale is $100 = 1 unit.

Bobby Witt Jr +500 (0.2u)

Witt and the Royals match up with one of our favorite HR targets on Friday night, Patrick Corbin. Corbin is once again allowing over one HR/9 innings this season, and I believe the value to be better with Witt and Salvy Perez tonight. Witt has been great against left-handed pitching this season, leading the team in both ISO and fly-ball percentage in the split. He also matches up well with Corbin's pitch mix. Witt ranks first on the team in ISO against sinkers -- which happens to be Corbin's most-used pitch against right-handed hitters. I'm on the over in this game, and think we could see multiple HR's from both teams tonight.

Rafael Devers +310

Brandon Pfaadt is one of the best pitching prospects in baseball, but he has struggled since getting called up. It's clear he has strikeout ability, but he has allowed seven homeruns in 20 IP given how often he challenges hitters in the zone with his fastball. Devers has big power splits against both right-handed pitchers and fastballs -- and he is my favorite overall HR pick for Friday nights slate.
