Welcome in to a new article for 2023...the HR Predictor! This will be a daily article, where I use my own research to highlight a few names I think are in a great position to hit a homerun on each days slate! These are low unit bets -- between 0.1 and 0.3 units -- with typically high-odds and we will only need to hit one or two a week to make some money! Adolis Garcia +370 (0.2u)

I love this spot for the Texas Rangers today against Matt Boyd. Texas ranks top-three in wRC+, wOBA and OPS against left-handed pitching this season, and has been a nightmare for southpaws to go up against. Futhermore, Matt Boyd has really struggled with right-handed batters. He's allowing a .345 wOBA and .186 ISO in the split, compared to .238 and .053 marks against lefties. Texas will pile in seven right-handed hitters against him today, and it could be a really tough outing for Boyd. Garcia has as much power as anyone in baseball, and has posted a .213 ISO against lefties since the start of last season. He's also been seeing the ball well, and ranks top-30 in hard-hit rate over the last 7 days. 

Vinnie Pasquantino +600 (0.2u)

Anyone that reads my articles knows how much I love Vinnie P and I think he is going to have a monster summer for the Royals. He matches up with Adam Wainwright today, who has been nothing short of a disaster for the Cardinals this season. Waino has pitched to a 7.01 xERA with just 10% strikeouts. He's getting destroyed by left-handed hitters and Pasquantino happens to be the best lefty in this lineup. He has huge power splits against righties, and matches up well with Wainwright's pitch mix as well. He's throwing his curve over 30% of the time to lefties making it his most used pitch -- Vinnie owns a monster .286 ISO and 55% hard-hit rate against the pitch.
