MLB Betting 6/2/23 - HR Predictor

Welcome in to a new article for 2023...the HR Predictor! This will be a daily article, where I use my own research to highlight a few names I think are in a great position to hit a homerun on each days slate! These are low unit bets -- between 0.1 and 0.3 units -- with typically high-odds and we will only need to hit one or two a week to make some money! If you're interested in all of my MLB betting and prop picks, plus access to our PrizePicks Predictor, you can sign-up by clicking HERE. With that being said, let's dive in...

UPDATED HR RECORD: 15-48 +$295.00

Note: This unit scale is $100 = 1 unit.

Juan Soto +400 (0.2u)

San Diego has a near five run team total tonight, and it's hard to argue how good the spot is against Jameson Taillon. Taillon has been terrible for the Cubs this season, and while some of it appears to just be bad luck, he has gotten destroyed by left-handed hitters. Through the first few months of 2023, he's allowing a .316 ISO and 47% hard-hit rate to left-handed hitters. Soto has the most power on the team from the left-side, and matches up very well against his pitch mix. He will see a lot of cutters and sinkers tonight, two pitches that he's posted a .300 ISO against during his big league tenure. I love the spot for the Pads tonight, and I think there is value on multiple HR's from their lineup in this match-up.
