MLB Betting 6/16/23 - HR Predictor

Welcome in to a new article for 2023...the HR Predictor! This will be a daily article, where I use my own research to highlight a few names I think are in a great position to hit a homerun on each days slate! These are low unit bets -- between 0.1 and 0.3 units -- with typically high-odds and we will only need to hit one or two a week to make some money! If you're interested in all of my MLB betting and prop picks, plus access to our PrizePicks Predictor, you can sign-up by clicking HERE. With that being said, let's dive in...

UPDATED HR RECORD: 17-54 +$335.00

Note: This unit scale is $100 = 1 unit.

Rafael Devers +320 (0.2u)

Devers and the Boston Red Sox are one of my favorite offenses to target on Friday night, matched up with Domingo German. German has had success against the Red Sox in his career, but he has also vastly outperformed his advanced metrics this season. His xERA is almost 0.75 runs higher than his actual ERA, and his 9.5% barrel rate allowed is one of the higher marks among starters tonight. We know that Devers has big-time power vs RHP, but he also hits the ball harder and barrels it more than any other Red Sox starter. He matches up well with Germans pitch-mix, and has had success against him in the past with multiple XBH including one HR.
