MLB Betting 6/30/23 - HR Predictor

Welcome in to a new article for 2023...the HR Predictor! This will be a daily article, where I use my own research to highlight a few names I think are in a great position to hit a homerun on each days slate! These are low unit bets -- between 0.1 and 0.3 units -- with typically high-odds and we will only need to hit one or two a week to make some money! If you're interested in all of my MLB betting and prop picks, plus access to our PrizePicks Predictor, you can sign-up by clicking HERE. With that being said, let's dive in...

UPDATED HR RECORD: 19-59 +$369.00

Note: This unit scale is $100 = 1 unit.

Andy Ibanez +450 (0.2u)

All eyes will be on Coors Field tonight, with the Tigers in town to face the Rockies and an 11 run total on deck for Friday night. One of the Rockies worst pitchers, Austin Gomber, will toe the rubber tonight and I believe there to be value on several Tigers players to go deep. Of all the choices, Ibanez at these odds sticks out the most. Ibanez has been flashing some power for Detroit this season, it's a smaller sample size but if he isolate his 2023 numbers against left-handed pitching we get a massive .341 ISO. He's also been locked in at the plate with a team-high 46% hard-contact rate over the last 14 days. You can attack Gomber with both sides of the plate, but the right-handed heavy Tigers could give him fits on Friday and over 4/1 feels like a great bet to me.
