MLB Betting 7/4/23 - HR Predictor

Welcome in to a new article for 2023...the HR Predictor! This will be a daily article, where I use my own research to highlight a few names I think are in a great position to hit a homerun on each days slate! These are low unit bets -- between 0.1 and 0.3 units -- with typically high-odds and we will only need to hit one or two a week to make some money! If you're interested in all of my MLB betting and prop picks, plus access to our PrizePicks Predictor, you can sign-up by clicking HERE. With that being said, let's dive in...

UPDATED HR RECORD: 20-60 +$439.00

Note: This unit scale is $100 = 1 unit.

Max Muncy +300 (0.25u)

Muncy and the Dodgers are in a strong spot tonight against Luis Ortiz - sporting a near six run team total. Muncy hadn't homered since June 6th, but he hit one out last night and could be finding his swing as we head into the All-Star break. Luis Ortiz has really struggled with left-handed hitters this season allowing a .233 ISO compared to a .124 rate against righties. Muncy has some of the best power splits on the Dodgers, and matches up very well with Ortiz pitch mix. Fastballs and sliders will account for over 65% of his pitches thrown to lefties -- while Muncy owns over a .290 ISO against both pitches. There is value on all the Dodgers lefties tonight, but Muncy sticks out as my favorite play.
