MLB Betting 7/5/23 - HR Predictor

Welcome in to a new article for 2023...the HR Predictor! This will be a daily article, where I use my own research to highlight a few names I think are in a great position to hit a homerun on each days slate! These are low unit bets -- between 0.1 and 0.3 units -- with typically high-odds and we will only need to hit one or two a week to make some money! If you're interested in all of my MLB betting and prop picks, plus access to our PrizePicks Predictor, you can sign-up by clicking HERE. With that being said, let's dive in...

UPDATED HR RECORD: 20-61 +$414.00

Note: This unit scale is $100 = 1 unit.

Max Muncy +350 (0.2u)

Muncy was my HR pick on Tuesday, and while multiple HR's were hit by left-handed Dodgers, unfortunately he wasn't one of them. That won't stop me from going back to the well with him on Wednesday night, with the Dodgers featuring another 5.5 run total against Osvaldo Bido. Bido was outperforming his metrics in a big way prior to his last start, and he responded by allowing four earned runs in just three innings against the Brewers. He has only allowed one homerun through four starts, but I believe some could be coming tonight. He is much worse against lefties than righties, which is why I want to go back to the Muncy well. We know that he has massive power against right-handed pitching, and he matches up well with Bido's pitch mix. Much like Ortiz. Bido relies heavily on his fastball and slider, two pitches that Muncy has well above-average power splits against.
