MLB Betting 7/7/23 - HR Predictor

Welcome in to a new article for 2023...the HR Predictor! This will be a daily article, where I use my own research to highlight a few names I think are in a great position to hit a homerun on each days slate! These are low unit bets -- between 0.1 and 0.3 units -- with typically high-odds and we will only need to hit one or two a week to make some money! If you're interested in all of my MLB betting and prop picks, plus access to our PrizePicks Predictor, you can sign-up by clicking HERE. With that being said, let's dive in...

UPDATED HR RECORD: 20-63 +$374.00

Note: This unit scale is $100 = 1 unit.

Luis Robert +440 (0.2u)

Robert will be participating in the HR derby on Monday, but hopefully he can add at least one more longball to his tally prior to the All-Star break. Few hitters in baseball have been in better form than Lou Bob -- who owns a 22% barrel rate (8th best) and 51% hard-hit rate over the last 14 days. He's also facing the left-handed Jordan Montgomery tonight, and I'm not sure if Robert should be 4/1 against a lefty the rest of the season. He's posted a monster 203 wRC+ (2nd best) and .343 ISO (5th best) against southpaw pitching during his 2023 campaign. He's one of the best hitters in baseball, especially against LHP, and matches up very well against JoMo's pitch mix. Montgomery relies heavily on his sinker, throwing it almost 50% of the time against RHH. Robert owns huge splits for his career against sinkers, including the highest ISO on the White Sox roster against the pitch.
