MLB Betting 7/14/23 - HR Predictor

Welcome in to a new article for 2023...the HR Predictor! This will be a daily article, where I use my own research to highlight a few names I think are in a great position to hit a homerun on each days slate! These are low unit bets -- between 0.1 and 0.3 units -- with typically high-odds and we will only need to hit one or two a week to make some money! If you're interested in all of my MLB betting and prop picks, plus access to our PrizePicks Predictor, you can sign-up by clicking HERE. With that being said, let's dive in...

UPDATED HR RECORD: 21-63 +$462.00

Note: This unit scale is $100 = 1 unit.

Anthony Volpe +480 (0.2u)

Volpe and the Yankees are in one of the top offensive spots tonight, in Coors Field against Austin Gomber. Gomber has been a disaster for the Rockies this season, pitching to a 5.04 SIERA along with only 15% strikeouts. He has multiple starts this season with 2+ HR's allowed, and is one of my favorite pitchers to attack when he is throwing in Coors Field. Volpe is not typically someone I would bet for a HR, but he does have some sneaky pop that can only be aided by the altitude. He owns a .235 ISO against left-handed pitching, well above-average, and matches up well against Gomber's pitch mix. He will see a lot of fastballs tonight, a pitch that Volpe sports a monster .407 ISO against. Most of the Yankees righties are in a good spot tonight, but I'll back Volpe at nearly 5/1 in Coors tonight.
