MLB Betting 7/17/23 - HR Predictor

Welcome in to a new article for 2023...the HR Predictor! This will be a daily article, where I use my own research to highlight a few names I think are in a great position to hit a homerun on each days slate! These are low unit bets -- between 0.1 and 0.3 units -- with typically high-odds and we will only need to hit one or two a week to make some money! If you're interested in all of my MLB betting and prop picks, plus access to our PrizePicks Predictor, you can sign-up by clicking HERE. With that being said, let's dive in...

UPDATED HR RECORD: 21-64 +$442.00

Note: This unit scale is $100 = 1 unit.

Ezequil Duran +500 (0.2u)

It's Monday and I'm looking to start up a new HR streak! Tonight, I'm targeting someone with a bit longer odds than usual, but I love the spot. Duran matches up with Shane McLanahan tonight, not typically someone I'm looking to target with hitters but he hasn't looked right since injuring his back. He's allowed a HR in four of his last five starts, while I like that I've seen from Duran at the plate. He owns a .233 ISO and 45% hard-hit% over the last 30 days -- and has hit left-handed pitching well all season. He also owns over a .300 ISO against both fastballs and changeups -- Shane-O's two most-used pitches against left-handed hitters. Texas has been rolling at the plate, and I think they will continue to do so tonight against the Rays.
