MLB Betting 8/4/23 - HR Predictor

Welcome in to a new article for 2023...the HR Predictor! This will be a daily article, where I use my own research to highlight a few names I think are in a great position to hit a homerun on each days slate! These are low unit bets -- between 0.1 and 0.3 units -- with typically high-odds and we will only need to hit one or two a week to make some money! If you're interested in all of my MLB betting and prop picks, plus access to our PrizePicks Predictor, you can sign-up by clicking HERE. With that being said, let's dive in...

UPDATED HR RECORD: 24-67 +$660.00

Note: This unit scale is $100 = 1 unit.

Ryan McMahon +520 (0.2u)

We have now hit in back-to-back days, bringing our season-long profit to nearly $700! I'm looking at another longer odds play tonight, with Ryan McMahon coming in over 5/1 against Adam Wainwright. Waino has been complete dust for the Cardinals this season, pitching to a 5.76 SIERA - the second-highest mark among starters on Friday. He's been awful against left-handed hitters allowing a monster .305 ISO. McMahon has the highest ISO on the Rockies against right-handed pitching -- and matches up very well against the pitch mix he will see tonight. Wainwright's most-used offering is his curve-ball, a pitch that McMahon destroys to the tune of a .304 ISO. Overall, this is one of my favorite spots on the slate - and I like it even more considering we are getting these odds.
