MLB Betting 8/24/23 - HR Predictor

Welcome in to a new article for 2023...the HR Predictor! This will be a daily article, where I use my own research to highlight a few names I think are in a great position to hit a homerun on each days slate! These are low unit bets -- between 0.1 and 0.3 units -- with typically high-odds and we will only need to hit one or two a week to make some money! Christian Walker +400 (0.2u)

Walker and the Diamondbacks are in a fantastic offensive spot tonight, featuring a 5 run team total. Brandon Williamson has flashed at times for the Reds this season, but he continues to struggle against right-handed hitters. Given his righty issues, he could struggle tonight against a team that's going to stuff eight right-handed hitters into their lineup. Among those righties is Christian Walker, who is in the midst of a fantastic season. Typically, Walker has been better against RHP than LHP but he has broke out vs southpaw pitching in 2023. He owns the best numbers on the team in the split -- including a monster .358 ISO. He also crushes fastballs, but Williamson throws around 40% of the time. 4/1 seems like good value here and I'm in on any righty Diamondback tonight.
