NFL Week 1 Bets: Anytime Touchdown Picks

Rachaad White +140

I think Rachaad White could get off to a good start Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. Minny’s defense looks to be one of the most underwhelming units in the NFC on paper, and I think it’s going to play them into shootouts quite often this season. There are some unknowns when it comes to White – like how good he actually is – and if he will lose passing down work. I think there is a chance that he has a three-down role – and in a game I think can shootout that provides value with this +140 line. Leonard Fournette quietly saw 19 carries inside the 10 last season, which should be the way of White now. Overall, I think the Bucs are live to win this game and we should see a strong RZ role from White to begin the season.

Tony Pollard -150 

This is a disgusting line for a touchdown, but I can’t resist firing on Pollard and his ATD makes for a good parlay piece as well. Pollard is one of the most electric players in football. He scored 12 touchdowns last season while still losing work to Zeke Elliott – and is now stepping into a full-time role. Elliott ranked third in the NFL in rush attempts inside the 5 yard-line last season – and third inside the 10 as well. Pollard is a good bet to pick up some of those carries, and we know that he has potential for longer touchdowns as well. Pollard could have a monster season in a three-down role – and I’m willing to bet on him getting off to a fast start on Sunday night.
