It was almost a clean sweep during Week 4 so now I’m looking for an undefeated finish with my NFL Week 5 – Danny’s Best Bets.
The only downfall in Week 4 was taking a risk with LA Rams’ Kyren Williams finishing with 4.5 receptions. The Rams jumped to an early big lead and didn’t need Williams much in the passing game, but he did have 2 receptions in the OT winning drive to finish with 3 catches. Too little, too late!
Last Week: 4-1 (.800)
Overall: 11-9 (.550)

Now onto NFL Week 5 – Danny’s Best Bets.
Since their big win in Week 1, Jacksonville has struggled on offense only averaging 16.3 points a game, while the Buffalo offense has been humming to the tune of 41 points a game.
But I think the Bills have a letdown offensively after their big AFC East Division win against Miami and then traveling to England.
Plus, the Jaguars stayed in England to prepare the game after playing Atlanta in London during Week 4.
Thielen has seen a resurgence during his last three weeks as the 33-year-old WR has had 25 receptions for 275 yards and 2 TDs.
But now he returns to a familiar place – Ford Field.
During his career with Minnesota, he only averaged 46.1 yards receiving when facing the Lions in Detroit.
The Lions also have the best defense Carolina has seen this season. Detroit ranks 4th in yards allowed a game at 280.5.
This line has bounced all over the place this week with Derek Carr still nursing an injured shoulder and the Patriots dealing with injuries on defense.
The Saints offense is getting healthier with the return of Alvin Kamara from suspension and Carr another week removed from his initial injury.
On the other side, the Patriots’ offense has been running cold, averaging 13.8 points a game after getting smacked, 38-3, last week in Dallas.
I’ll take the points in sluggish game.
The games between these two teams are just plain ugly.
In their last six games, the largest margin of victory has been 5 while the winner has won by average margin of 3 points.
And Baltimore QB Lamar Jackson has been inconsistent vs. the Steelers defense during his career. He has a 67.4 QB rating and has been sacked 16 times in his last 3 games vs. Pittsburgh.
This is the game most fantasy and DFS players and bettors alike will be tuned into during the late afternoon games on Sunday.
Both teams feature prolific offenses, while the Minnesota defense has been a sieve for opponent’s offensive fireworks. The Vikings are giving up 23.8 points a game.
And if the Chiefs defense can be exploited by Zach Wilson, then Kirk Cousins, Justin Jefferson and the rest of the Minnesota offense should excel, too.
