NFL Week 7 - Danny's Best Bets

Danny Carpenter
10-20-2023

I would hope a little luck comes my way this weekend in NFL Week 7 – Danny’s Best Bets and DFS.

My picks last week were a disaster as I finished with 1-4 record, while in DFS, I had to suffer through Foster Moreau’s dropped pass for a touchdown Thursday night. If he had caught the wide-open pass, my bankroll would have had a nice start to the weekend.

But that’s sports in general – you win some and you lose some!

Last Week: 1-4 (.200)

Overall: 15-15 (.500)

Now onto NFL Week 7– Danny’s Best Bets.

Buffalo at New England

Stefon Diggs over 83.5 yards receiving on BetRivers

Diggs has face the Patriots six times in his career as a Bill.

He has surpassed 83.5 yards receiving in five of those six games.

But his numbers improve when the Bills play the Patriots in Foxborough, where he has averaged 7.7 receptions and 103.7 yards in three games.

My DFS spreadsheet also has Diggs as the highest scoring WR this week.

Detroit at Baltimore

Mark Andrews over 50.5 receiving yards on PointsBet

Thanks to the extra game scheduling implemented by the NFL when the league went to a 17-game schedule, Andrews will face the Lions for the second time in his career.

In the first matchup, Andrews hauled in 5 of 7 passes for 109 yards.

The Lions enter the game in the bottom third of the league in defending against TEs. They give more than 60 yards receiving a game, and a healthy Andrews should take advantage to surpass 50.5 yards.

Cleveland at Indianapolis

Cleveland -3.5 on FanDuel

The Browns have lost 3 of the last 4 visits to Indianapolis, but this defense is a different monster than in the past.

Much has been said about Miami’s record-breaking offense so far this season, but the Browns have something special as well.

Cleveland is allowing only 200.4 yards of total offense a game – that’s right TOTAL offense.

The Browns are on a historic pace to allow 3,407 yards of total defense, which would be the lowest total for a full season since the NFL switched to a 16-game schedule in 1978.

Pittsburgh at LA Rams

Cooper Kupp over 7.5 receptions on DraftKings

With the running game in limbo this week for the Rams, Kupp could feast on an underperforming Pittsburgh secondary.

RB Kyren Williams will miss the game with an ankle injury for the Rams, allowing the offense to fall on the shoulders of QB Matthew Stafford and his receiving corps.

Kupp has not missed a beat since returning from IR from a hamstring injury as he has averaging 7.5 receptions in his two games.

The Steelers rank 25th in the league in pass defense, giving up 245.6 yards a game, and allow the fourth most WR fantasy points this season.

LA Chargers at Kansas City

Over 47.5 on FanDuel

I’ll save the best game on a weak Sunday main slate schedule for last.

In the teams’ last five meetings at Arrowhead, the Chiefs and the Chargers have combined to average 54.6 points a game.

The weather forecast for Kansas City is spectacular – a balmy 73 degrees with winds expected to be 12 mph or less.

Plus, I have a sneaky feeling this game will be bet back up on Sunday, so you better get on it while you can.
