NFL Week 9 - Danny's Best Bets

Danny Carpenter
11-04-2023

It’s been one of those days, and hopefully, my NFL Week 9 – Danny’s Best Bets don’t feel the same effect.

I told one my co-workers at my regular job that I felt a little off, and when I get that feeling my concentration levels can fluctuate from super focused to completely forgetting what I’m doing.

Oh the joys of getting older!

At least my Best Bets didn’t age me last week as I finished with a 3-2 record with Alvin Kamara coming one more reception away from me finishing with a 4-1 week.

Last Week: 3-2 (.600)

Overall: 20-20 (.500)

Now onto NFL Week 9 – Danny’s Best Bets.

Miami vs. Kansas City (in Germany)

Tyreek Hill over 6.5 receptions on FanDuel

Hill has averaged 10.9 targets a game this season and now faces his old team for the first time since he was traded to Miami last offseason.

In his last three games, Hill has seen 38 targets and has 25 receptions.

A little trash talk and a friendly revenge should motivate Hill to prove to his old team that he is “the best WR in the league.”

Minnesota at Atlanta

Jaren Hall over 15.5 rushing on Bet365

Hall has the ability to run as he averaged 29.9 yards rushing a game during his final 2 seasons at BYU.

A lot of times young QBs who have ran in the past tend to do what is comfortable. And the Minnesota offensive coaching staff is smart enough to put in him in those comfortable situations.

His 4.62 in the 40 is not slow by QB standards but we can’t confuse Hall with Lamar Jackson.

Tampa Bay at Houston

Over 40 on DraftKings

The middle for this game has already been bumped up two points from its opening of 38, and I think it is still not high enough.

Tampa Bay ranks 10th in pass rate at 60.3 percent this season. In their last three games, that number has jumped to 70.7.

Houston will be without starting RB Dameon Pierce, and the Texans are shown they are not afraid to let QB C.J. Stroud lead the offense. Houston has averaged 33.9 passes a game this season.

Dallas at Philadelphia

Over 46.5 on FanDuel

Dak Prescott over 1.5 TD passes on BetRivers

With the league mired with a plethora second-string QBs starting in Week 9, this game will feature two elite QBs and offenses.

Dallas is a coming off of two big wins and Prescott has found his form, throwing for 5 TDs in those wins.

The Eagles’ pass offense has been elite as well. Jalen Hurts has averaged 296.2 yards passing in his last six game after a slow start.

In the teams’ last three meetings, the Cowboys have averaged 36 points and the Eagles have averaged 28.7 points.

Prescott has thrown 11 TD passes in his last three games vs. the Eagles.
