One quick lesson when betting golf – don’t get caught up in early round excitement!
This was one of the items I had to learn when playing PGA DFS and betting on golf. It only takes one hole or one round to erase the hopes of successful weekend.
Stephan Jaeger and Nick Lashley played well early at the World Wide Technology Championship before fading on Friday or the weekend.
Plus it would help if all five of my golfers made the cut. Only Jaeger, Lashley and Lucas Glover made the cut but none were in contention for the weekend.
There are only two more chances, starting with this week’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship, to bring home a nice Bet to Win play.

Todd is also my top DFS play and he has the moxie to contend on a Port Royal Golf Course along the ocean.
Todd had a 2nd-place finish earlier this season at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am as the event was plagued by wind and weather.
When I compiled my spreadsheet, I did not know Griffin had a T3 during last fall’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
That stats makes me feel even better after my spreadsheet has him as a Top 10 play in DFS.
Lower is another golfer who played well last year at fall Butterfield Bermuda event. He finished with a T8.
He comes into the event ranked in my Top 20 on my spreadsheet and his odds number is a hard to pass up.
If Yu could find his putter stroke, he’s going to be scary.
He is another guy who played well last year at Butterfield Bermuda with a T3. He is also in my Top 20 on my spreadsheet.
Novak is another guy in my spreadsheet’s Top 20 and had a Top 20 finish last year in the Butterfield Bermuda.
Novak had a T17 finish and shot a 5-under during his final round last year.
