Bah, humbug!
I’m feeling a little Grinchy after last week’s debacle with my Best Bets picks.
It marked my second losing week in a row as I finished with a 1-4 record last week. The search for the perfect week continues to elude me.
So forgive me if I’m scroogish heading into the holiday weekend.
But there is only one way to go from here – UP!
Last Week: 1-4 (.200)
Overall: 37-37-1 (.500)

Now onto NFL Week 16 – Danny’s Best Bets.
Since Joe Brady took over as Buffalo’s offensive coordinator in Week 11, Cook has been on fire.
Cook has averaged 141 yards a game for combined rushing and receiving yards.
During this run, Cook has amassed 353 yards rushing while adding 16 catches for 211 yards. He also has 4 touchdowns during the span.
The Chargers have given up 126 yards rushing a game in in their last 3.
The Titans are 17-9 vs. the NFC since Mike Vrabel took over as the head coach in 2018.
In the teams’ last two matchups, Tennessee has scored 33 points in both games and secured two wins.
The Titans also rank as one of the top defenses this week on my DFS spreadsheet.
And yes, Henry is having a down year by his standards, but this total is way too low for what he has accomplished vs. NFC foes at home.
He has surpassed 60.5 yards rushing in 5 out of his last 6 games in home games vs. NFC opponents.
During that span, he has averaged 84.3 yards rushing in those six games.
Mullens, making his first start since 2021 last week, almost led the Vikings to a road win vs. Bengals, before falling overtime.
Now the Vikings return home, a place where Justin Jefferson shines.
Mullens will have the benefit of a healthier Jefferson and the continued strong play by rookie WR Jordan Addison. And we could add in the revenge narrative for T.J. Hockenson.
And the Lions defense’s weakness is their pass defense.
Detroit is a middling pass defensive team, allowing 225 yards a game, but it gives up 251 yards passing on the road.
Give me Mullens leading the Vikings to a must win game with his arm!
How healthy Tyreek Hill’s ankle is on Sunday may determine how many points are scored in this game.
Hill was a limited participant on Thursday on Friday and is questionable for the game with a lingering ankle injury.
But even if he plays, Dallas offense has struggled in outdoor games this season.
The Cowboys are Top 6 offense in the NFL this season, averaging 368.1 yards a game, but in games played outdoors, Dallas has only averaged 274.8 yards a game.
