It was a nice bounce-back week for a betting Christmas gift last weekend for me as I finished with a 4-1 record with my Best Bets.
However I was not as fortunate in two of my home fantasy leagues. I lost in the semifinal round in both leagues, including a gut-wrenching loss by 0.1 point on on Gus Edwards’ 13-yard run on the last play in the Baltimore’s big road win vs. San Francisco.
It’s down to the final two weeks of the regular season – so hopefully, I can continue a strong run betting into the playoffs.
Last Week: 4-1 (.800)
Overall: 41-38-1 (.519)

Now onto NFL Week 17 – Danny’s Best Bets.
Taking the Commanders at home against the spread this year has been very unprofitable.
Washington is currently 0-5-1 ATS at home this season and now faces one of top teams in the league vs. the 49ers.
However, in their last 5 visits to the nation’s capital, San Fran have beaten the Commanders by 14 points only once, and Washington has also won 2 of those 5 games.
Now for the CMC rushing line, it may be too low.
McCaffrey has rushed for more than 85.5 yards in 6 out of last 7 games. He has averaged 106.1 yards a game during that stretch.
The Commanders have been awful against the run in their last three games, giving up 161.0 yards a game.
Carr appears to be finally healthy and it’s showing in his play.
He has thrown for 3 TDs in each of the last two games and threw for more 300 yards in the Saints’ loss to the LA Rams last week.
Now he faces the Buccaneers’ pass-funnel defense.
Tampa Bay has given up 289.0 yards a game in their last 3 and gave up 268 yards passing last week vs. Jacksonville.
This has the feel of a sucker bet, but I’ll take the bait.
Kupp has surpassed 100 yards receiving in two of his last three games, and he has had success vs. the Giants in the past.
He finished with 9 catches for 130 yards and 2 touchdowns in the teams’ last meeting in 2021.
Plus, the Giants are giving up 128.5 yards receiving to WRs in their last four games.
This line has dropped a half point on Friday on some of the sportsbooks, and you need to take it now before it drops more.
And here are some of the reasons why the line may continue to fall.
Miami’s Jaylen Waddle is out, and four of the Dolphins’ offensive lineman have injury designations going into the game.
And the Ravens are coming off a short week and big road win.
In the teams’ last 10 meetings, they have failed to score 47 or more points in seven of them.
