This is a smash spot for the Nebraska Cornhuskers at home against the Ohio State Buckeyes. I have interest in Nebraska on the spread here as well, but I can't overlook this spot for Tominaga. Ohio State has struggled on the road for seemingly all of Chris Holtmann's tenure as coach, especially defensively. They lost their last 9 road games last season, and have yet to win on the road in conference play this season (0-3). On the surface, Ohio State has a decent defense ranking 63rd in KenPom adjusted defensive efficiency and allowing 66 PPG. That number plummets on the road, however, to 71 PPG allowed. If you look at their road losses this season, they are allowing opponents to shoot a combined 45% from three-point range. Enter: Keisei Tominaga.
If you're unfamiliar with Tominaga's game, he is the Huskers leading scorer this season while also shooting 38% from deep. He, like the Huskers as a whole, excels at home averaging 17 PGG in Pinnacle Bank Arena. Given how good Nebraska is at home, and how bad their opponent is on the road, I don't think they'll have any issues scoring. Michigan absolutely killed the Buckeyes from deep, and I expect Tominaga to do the same. Back him to go over this number on Tuesday evening.
