Michigan State -6 -110

Saturday's are truly the best this late in the college basketball season. We have over 100 games to bet on, and the conference tournaments are now just a few weeks away. Out of all the games available, I've singled out the Spartans as my favorite. I want it to be known, I'm very high on this Michigan St team to close the season and just took them at 55/1 to win the national title my last day in Vegas. Coming into the season, this was a top-five team in the country and things never felt right with them after that opening night defeat to James Madison. They've been playing much better ball as of late winning four of their last five. Most importantly, they have Tom Izzo on the sideline and that's simply all that matters when we get to March. Despite their struggles, KenPom still has them as the 15th overall team. Michigan has been trending in the opposite direction, winning just two of their last 14. Yes, both of those wins came at home but I'm not sure if it will matter here against a much better team. Sparty proved they could win on the road earlier this week in an obvious look-ahead spot with their rival looming - and a loss on Saturday might just put the nail in Juwan Howard's coffin. Michigan is the worst team in the conference, and they are winless ATS in games they lose this season. Yes, you read that correctly: Michigan is WINLESS ATS in losses this season. So, if you think Michigan wins this game I see no reason to bet them at +6 - simply take the moneyline. If they lose, they're going to lose in a blowout like they've done this entire season and I'm buying a late-season surge from Tom Izzo's bunch. Back the Spartans on the spread on Saturday night.
