Butler Bulldogs ML -126

Tonight, I'm taking a road trip to Indianapolis for my favorite play on the board. This is a huge situational spot for Butler, who had been ice-cold prior to their last game against Big East bottom-dweller DePaul. Butler was on a five game losing skid prior to that win over DePaul, but that also coincided with a tough stretch of games against the likes of Marquette, Creighton, away at Seton Hall and motivated St. Johns and Villanova. Both of these teams are technically on the bubble, but I think Butler is the better team and will have revenge on their mind after Xavier beat them earlier this season. It's senior night at Hinkle, and the crowd should show out for the last home game of the season.

Butler has faired very well at home this season, which speaks to the atmosphere. They're 11-5 on their home floor, while Xavier is just 3-7 on the road. Obviously those factors are already baked into the line -- hence why a team that won by 14 earlier this year is catching points tonight. I view this as a get-right spot for the Bulldogs who finally saw some shots go through the net against DePaul. That losing streak was directly correlated to horrible shooting performances from their better players -- and Xavier's road defense allowing over 80 PPG is another recipe for success for the Butler shooters. Back the Bulldogs to win in their final home game of the season tonight.
