Drake ML -130

Arch Madness heads into the semi-finals today with the top-four seeds all squaring off. Northern Iowa will take on the top-seeded Indiana State Sycamores while the 2/3 match-up with a re-match of last weekend's regular season game between Bradley and Drake. Both these teams cruised to victory in their quarter-final games and this should be an electric third match-up on the season between two championship-worthy teams. 

KenPom has this as just a one point game, which speaks to how evenly matched these teams are. They both rank top-61 overall per those metrics and they are obviously very familiar with one another. You can make the case that it's hard to beat a team three times, but I believe that Drake simply has Bradley's number. They knocked them off in this tournament last season, and followed that up with a season sweep in 2023-24. As I noted, these teams are both very balanced but two factors reign supreme for me in Drake's favor. They don't turn the ball over, and they are much better at the free-throw line. On top of that, Tucker DeVries is the best player on the court and if the supplementary players aren't going he can absolutely take over. 

This game could very well come down to the wire, but it just feels like an Indiana State vs Drake championship game is written in the stars. Back Drake and Tucker DeVries to get it done on Saturday.
