Boston College +5.5 -112

After a huge Wednesday in the CBB streets, I'm looking at the red hot Boston College Eagles tonight. BC has been sizable underdogs in both conference tourney games thus far, but upset the Miami Hurricanes by 16 and then easily handled the Clemson Tigers by 21 last night. Virginia is a team that I'm extremely low on this season, and I think they could struggle in this spot. For starters, they are going to come into this game cold while BC has been playing and playing well on this neutral floor. Tired legs could be a factor for the Eagles, however, I worry about that less against a team like Virginia. The Cavaliers rank dead-last in the country in tempo per KenPom, and their snails pace play-style won't allow them to take advantage of any fatigue from the Eagles. 

At the end of the day, this Virginia team is great defensively but I don't trust them to win big games due to their offensive lapses. They only managed a four point win over the Eagles earlier this season, and both teams are trending in opposite directions. A key factor for me is that Virginia is one of the worst FT shooting teams in the country, and that will loom large if the game is close in the final minutes. Take the red-hot Eagles to cover and sprinkle the ML in this ACC quarterfinal.
