The weird NFL season has caught me, too!
For the first time in my two-year stint of writing my Best Bets, I was shut out.
A 0-5 week can affect one’s psychic, but I’ve bet on games and played fantasy football long enough to know it only takes one week to turn things around.
I’ve struggled with my co-workers making just straight up picks – I went 5-11 last week on just picking winners.
It will get better and hopefully quickly.
Record: 0-5 (.000)
Overall: 2-8 (.200)

Now onto NFL Week 3 – Danny’s Best Bets.
This is one of plays I like to see on the schedule – an inter-conference game in a dome.
Thanks to the balance scheduling, NFL teams will see every team in the other conference once every 4 years.
And these dome games tend to be fun to watch.
I know both teams have struggling young quarterbacks but that gives the offenses some opportunities on some short fields thanks to turnovers.
This play will start our good run.
As crazy as the NFL has been this season, this game could finish at 10-7. But these offenses are in good form and the Philly defense is still bad.
The Eagles D has given up an average of 29.9 points a game in their last 10 games.
The Saints have averaged 45.5 points a game under new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.
Maybe this total needs to be higher?
The Ravens and the Cowboys have played each other six times, and the Ravens own a 5-1 all-time record.
This game also profiles as an inter-conference game in a dome – meaning plenty of offense.
And Lamar has beaten the Cowboys in his only start against them in 2020.
He compiled 94 rushing yards and a touchdown in that game.
Jackson may need to use his legs more with a sub-par offensive line vs. the Cowboys pass rush.
The Panthers enter the game giving up the second most fantasy points to TEs this season.
And the rookie Bowers has been one of the most consistent tight ends in the short season.
He has a 25 percent target share and 26 percent air yard share on a team with Davante Adams. He has been a Top 3 TE each week and the TE2 overall in the first two games of the season.
He’s averaged 7.5 catches and 78 yards per game.
