Utah Jazz -5 vs Toronto Raptors

2 units to profit 1.8 units

The Utah Jazz have rebounded from their mid-season cold stretch winning their fifth game in a row on Saturday. They come into Monday night 21-9 at home, while the Raptors are playing a road back-to-back set without Fred VanVleet. FVV has been a key member of the Raptors for a while now dating back to guarding Steph Curry in the NBA Finals last season. They're 6-9 ATS with VanVleet inactive this season, and their offense will have to play differently as a whole. Toronto ranks 14th in pace this season, but if you isolate the last five games (all without VanVleet) they jump up to sixth-overall. Running more is not necessarily something that will work on a back-to-back, especially against a team like the Jazz. Not only are they worse with VanVleet off the floor, but they average 113 points per game as a team, a number that drops to 106 on 0 days rest.

Utah has climbed all the way up to fourth in the Western Conference, and this profiles as a game where they can take advantage of the Raptors injuries + schedule and come out victorious at home.
