AB's B-Ball Bets 8/10/20

What’s up Karma Nation! I must have started this article at least 3-4 times before all the madness ensued this morning. It’s really difficult to handicap this time of year, seems more than usual this time around, with all the late scratches and coaches choosing to rest their starters in the 2H.With that said, let’s dive into my favorite bet of the day. Denver Nuggets (+175) vs Los Angeles Lakers (-210) O/U 223

The Nuggets come into tonight sitting as the 3rd seed out West while the Lakers have already clinched the 1st seed. Jamal Murray played his first game in the bubble vs the Jazz last time out and nearly posted a triple double in a double OT win. Malone has also been giving plenty of minutes to his young forward Michael Porter Jr who’s averaging close to 40 minutes in his last four games. The Nuggets have a small chance of overtaking the Clippers for the 2nd seed as they sit a game and a half back with only 2 games left to play after today.

The Lakers on the other hand appear to be taking it easy after they have already clinched the Western Conference title. They haven’t looked like the defensive unit they once were before the restart as they are giving up over 108 points per game here in Orlando, they have also dropped 4 out of 6 games during that stretch. I can also see a scenario play out tonight, much like these other top teams, were LBJ and AD don’t get a ton of run in the 2H to keep them fresh for the playoffs that start in a week.
