Joey's MLB Prop Bets Tuesday 08/18

Dylan Cease UNDER 6.5 Ks -140 2 units to win 1.43 units: Cease has started off the season with a rough patch. 19 innings pitched and 14 strikeouts. He has never gone over 5 Ks in a game. Cease is going up against the Tigers who haven’t been the best bats but Cease has been struggling all season. He has a 17% K% and a k/9 of 6.5 while giving up 2.3 HRs/9. If Detroit can get to him early, he won’t last long enough to get 7 Ks. He has really struggled against lefties this season and 3 of his first batters are lefties. He rarely throws sliders against lefties while throwing sliders at a 35% rate against Righties.  Detroit has struggled this season leading the league in first pitches as strikes at a 14% rate but on the other hand Cease has been one of the worst pitchers throwing a strike on the first pitch leading to players not having to dig themselves out of a 0-1 count like they normally do.
