Joey's MLB Prop Bets Wednesday 09/16

Jacob Degrom OVER 7.5 Ks -140 2 units to win x units:  DeGrom continues to be one of the best pitchers in the league and is looking to build on his great 2020 season tonight against the Phillies. The Phillies will be featuring 6 batters with k% higher than 21%. His signature pitch is a slider and we see that Philly struggles with sliders. 7 batters have a whiff % of over 30% against sliders. He has the third highest k/9 out of all pitchers at 13.17. Meaning on average he needs about 5 and a half innings to reach 8 Ks, which in this matchup should be pretty easy. DeGrom also is in the top 10 in HR/9, he only allows on average 0.67 HR/9. The Phillies are in the top half of the league in HRs so limiting those will really help his cause tonight as well. DeGrom was struggling earlier in the season; averaging 7 Ks a game in his first 5 games of the season and going under this total 3 times. The last 4 games he has been on fire going over in all 4 while averaging 11 Ks per game and over 100 pitches a game.
