David Montgomery UNDER 49.5 rushing yards -112 1.12 units to win 1 unit: Montgomery is in a very tough matchup tonight. The Bucs have been fantastic shutting down the running game all season. They did the same thing last year as well. They are tied for league leaders with the Steelers in yards per carry, only allowing 2.7 yards per carry. They are also second in the league only behind the Steelers for rushing yards allowed per game. The Bucs allow 64.5 yards per game, while the Steelers allow only 40.  The Bucs held Kamara to 12 rushes for 16 yards, Christian McCaffrey to 59 yards on 18 carries, Melvin Gordon to 26 yards on 8 carries, and Joshua Kelley to 7 yards on 9 rushing attempts. Montgomery is going to be facing projected negative game script as a 3-and-a-half-point underdog tonight. Montgomery has been spoiled this year with two of his four games in extremely easy matchups against the Giants and the Lions. The Lions are one of the worst teams in the league against the run and the Giants are bad too even though the stats don’t fully show it. The Rams and the 49ers just didn’t run that much and the 49ers number is skewed by 11 rushing attempts for Wilson who is mainly the goal line back. Montgomery will have a rough time getting anything going and as long as he doesn’t bust a long run or the Bears get out to an early two touchdown lead causing Montgomery to see 20 rushing attempt this will be a pretty easy under.
