I haven’t lost a bet in a month, and I don’t plan on stopping now. So let’s keep it rolling with my best bet of the week. Again it comes from the Big 12.
West Virginia has been very good ATS this season. They destroyed Kansas State to cover by a mile two weeks ago (which was my best bet of the week), and last Saturday, covered against Texas.
I love the Mountaineers' defense. WVU ranks second in the Big 12 surrendering just 19.4 PPG, and has consistently been one of the best defenses in the country all season. They held a Texas offense that’s averaging over 40 PPG to just 17 last week.
Shockingly, they lost that game, but I still have a lot of confidence in their offense. Jarrett Doege is having a great season. The junior QB ranks 9th nationally in passing yards, surpassing the 2,000 mark last week. He doesn’t turn the ball over a whole lot and is reliable.
Their RB Leddie Brown is one of the best in the conference, averaging 105 yards per game. TCU ranks in the bottom half of the Big 12 in both scoring defense and rushing defense, and I don’t see them slowing this WVU offense down.
West Virginia has the better offense. West Virginia has the better defense. West Virginia is at home. West Virginia is 4-0 ATS at home this season.
You know where I’m going with this.

These teams are very similar. They both started 0-2, but picked up dominant wins last week. Iowa has the edge on defense, but man, I love Minnesota’s offense. The Gophers have put up over 40 points in each of their last two games.
Their running back, Mohamed Ibrahim, leads all of FBS with 190.3 yards per game. Iowa’s defense is good, but I don’t know if they can stop him.
I’m tempted to take Gophers moneyline, but let’s take them +3.5 just in case.
Tulsa hasn’t played a lot of games this year due to covid cancellations, but the Golden Hurricanes have proven that they are very good. They gave Oklahoma State all they could handle in week 1, and then beat UCF two weeks later.
Tulsa is going to be hungry for an opportunity to pick up a big win, and I think they get the job done.
