Joey's NBA Prop Bets Monday 12/28/20

John Collins UNDER 8.5 rebounds +100 1 unit to win 1 unit: We have been unlucky with our first two bets. Neither of our guys played full minutes due to blowouts. Hopefully, this one will be different.  Make sure you are playing lighter to start the season, we don't have all the data we need to easily win props as we will later in the season!

Collins has played two games this year, in one game he finished with four rebounds, and in the other game, he finished with 10. I am expecting him to finish at the lower end of the rebounding numbers with Clint Capela expected back. Collins hasn’t wowed us yet with his rebounding this year and with one of the best rebounders in the league expected back tonight, his numbers are going to fall even more. He should finish with 6 or 7 rebounds if Capela is getting anywhere close to normal minutes. Collins has 19.6% defensive rebounding % this year, meaning he hauls in 19.6% of missed shots by the opposing team. This ranks 83rd best in the league. Not a number you want to see from you big. Hawks are also in a pace down spot tonight against the Pistons. Last year, Collins saw 9.5 rebounds when Alex Len was starting compared to 10.5 when he was out. This is a much better upgrade, allowing Collins to focus away from the basket compared to being stuck right at the basket.
