Joey's NBA Prop Bets Tuesday 01/19/21

Ruby Gobert UNDER 12.5 rebounds -112 1.12 units to win 1 unit: 

Gobert has been one of the best rebounders in the league over the last couple of years but this is the perfect spot to grab the under on him tonight. Gobert is averaging 13.3 rebounds per game, he has gone under 12.5 only 38% of the games this season. Just because he more than often goes over doesn't mean we have to pound the over on him every chance we get. Game log watching isn't the way to maximize profits in this industry.

Gobert gets a tough matchup against the Pelicans, who have been great at limiting the amount of rebounds centers pull down. The Pelicans rank first in rebounds allowed to centers, only allowing 11.5 rebounds per 48 minutes. Gobert only plays 30 minutes per game, meaning the Pelicans only allow 7.2 rebounds per 30 minutes to centers. The Pelicans also rank first in rebounding percentage, hauling in 54% of all missed shots. Both the Pelicans and the Jazz rank bottom third in the league in pace as well. So a bad rebounding matchup plus a decrease in pace should lead to an easy under tonight.
