Sacramento Kings (+350) vs Los Angeles Clippers (-455)

The Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Clippers will face off in a rematch from a few nights ago. The Clippers are currently 9.5 point favorites in a game set at 230 points, and they boast an implied team total of 119.8 points. 

Paul George found plenty of success in his first season with Los Angeles. He averaged 21.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.4 steals in only 29.6 minutes per game over 48 contests. He posted 25+ points in 16 of those games, scoring a season-high 46 points against the Minnesota Wolves. 

George has quietly found more success in most aspects of his game this season. Through 13 games, he’s averaging 24.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. George currently leads Los Angeles in points and three-point attempts (8.0) per game, while ranking second in shot attempts (15.8) and free throw attempts (5.0) per game this season. He’s posted 25+ points in 7 of his 13 games this season, including 6 of his last 8. 

George generally sees his usage rating sit around 28%, although it can increase to over 30% on any given night. He’ll also find minutes in the mid- to high-30s if this game stays close. Even in a blowout, George played 30 minutes against Sacramento in their last matchup. 

The Kings currently rank 13th in the NBA in pace and last in defensive efficiency. They’ve allowed 120+ points in each of their last 8 games. Sacramento’s struggled against scoring shooting guards, as well, allowing a league-high 27 points per game to shooting guards, according to Fantasy Pros. George posted 26 points in only 29.4 minutes against them in their only matchup this season. 

He’s been an outstanding scorer throughout the season thus far, specifically over his last few games. Sacramento features the worst defense in the NBA, and they don’t feature anyone that will be able to slow George down. He hit the over in limited minutes in their last game and is likely to play more minutes tonight. Although he was efficient in that game, he is likely to find similar success tonight. Attack the over at +100 odds.
