We were betting lighter to start the season but we can start becoming a lot more confident in our plays moving forward. Early season NBA is always annoying.

 

James Harden OVER 9.5 Assists -117 1.17 units to win 1 unit: James Harden has found himself a nice home in Brooklyn so far since the trade. He has become the main ball handler in this offense even with Kyrie in the lineup he still handles the ball, has a high usage rate, and is currently leading the league in assists over this time. Harden is averaging 11.8 assists over this stretch and has only gone for less than 11 assists once. In that game, he played the second least amount of minutes since being a Net. I usually like to aim for 50% assist rate compared to potential assists and Harden is playing right on pace. He is averaging 19.7 potential assists per game since joining the Nets which is also leading the league. Since the Nets have a ton of great shooters you can assume a sustainable rate that is higher than the average 50% rate. 

 

Since joining the Nets this team is on pace to make history on both sides of the ball. They are currently the best-ranked offense ever and the worst-ranked defense ever. Holding a 121 offensive efficiency ranking and a 120 defensive efficiency ranking. The Nets games went over their total 15 out of 17 games in January too. This team can put up a ton of points while giving up a ton of points. This has led to plenty of assist opportunities for Harden as we have seen so far as a Net.
