Let's look at who I like from tonight's packed NHL slate:

Dallas Stars ML (+108)/Play 1 unit to win 1.08 units.

The Stars played Carolina very well in their last meeting, only losing in a shootout in Carolina. Dallas gets a chance at revenge tonight on home ice and I think they will take advantage of it. They have showed good scoring punch and capable goaltending. Remember that this is the team that made a serious run last year that saw them end up in the Stanley Cup finals. 


Pittsburgh/NY Islanders 1st period O 1.5 goals (-114)/Play 1.14 units to win 1 unit. 

Both these teams have shown a lack of defense at the start of games this season. In their last meeting, they combined for seven goals, with three coming in the first period alone. This game total might stay under, but I think the 1st period scoring trend continues and we see the lamp light up at least two times in the first 20 minutes in this one.

Nashville & Winnipeg ML parlay (+135)/Play 1 unit to win 1.35 units. 

NHL wagering is not easy. Some moneylines get so high, it's too risky on your bankroll to lay that much juice. Sometimes you just need to be creative. Detroit and Ottawa have only combined for five wins so far this season. Neither team has better than average goaltending, strong blueliners, or more than one competent scoring line. Since both these teams are on the road, give me the stronger Preds and Jets in a plus money parlay tonight.
