Frank's NHL Dice Roll-2/15

Welcome to my latest edition of the NHL dice roll. I strive to spotlight betting angles to exploit, and taking a look at today's schedule, there are 20 teams taking to the ice. When I find a wager that I feel strong enough to play myself, I post it on Bet Karma.
There have been many features just added to the Bet Karma site. Make sure to check out: betting trendslive odds page, and our prop predictor.

My last dice roll went 2-0
Season record 12-7, +5.81 units.
Let's look at who I like from tonight's heavy NHL slate:
(all lines shown are from DraftKings Sportsbook)

NY Islanders ML (-130)/Play 2.60 units to win 2 units
&
NY Islanders PL -1.5 goals (+200)/Play 1 unit to win 2 units.

I rarely have two plays for the same game, but used this weekend to research this big slate, and dentified this game as a strong play in favor of the Islanders. Buffalo hasn't played a game since late January due to Covid restrictions, and is bound to be rusty. They were averaging just 2.8 goals per game prior to this 16-day layoff. The Islanders are coming off their best game this season, only allowing two goals to the very powerful Boston offense. In fact, New York ranks fifth-best in the NHL, only giving up an average of 2.46 goals/game. If you want to get bold, you could play the Buffalo team total under. I just don't see the Sabres scoring much, and a shutout is not out of the question tonight.

Coumbus/Carolina O 5.5 goals (-120)/Play 1.20 units to win 1 unit.

There never seems to be a lack of scoring when these two teams get together. Two main reasons are that Carolina is top ten in the NHL in scoring at 3.33 goals/game, and Columbus is eighth-worst in goals allowed at 3.25 per game. Recent history is on our side as well. The Hurricanes' game total has gone over the posted total in six of their last seven. The Blue Jackets have played to the over in four of their last six games. Both these teams have been getting good secondary scoring in addition to their top lines, so I think we will see the lamp light up at least six times in this one.

Best of luck and enjoy the NHL schedule today.
