The new Bet Karma NBA Trends page is designed to show the line movement in team totals, the spread, and game totals. Each section features the opening number, live number, and difference between the two. The movement is taken from the DraftKings Sportsbook

In this article, I’ll breakdown the movement from one game with the corresponding player prop bet from our Prop Predictor. All of our player props can be found on the Live Odds page by clicking “view props” for each individual game.

Utah Jazz vs Los Angeles Clippers

The Utah Jazz opened as -4.5 point road favorites against the Los Angeles Clippers. It moved 0.5 points towards Los Angeles, though, making Utah a -4 point favorite at the moment. This game opened at 226.5 points, increasing to 227.5 throughout the day. The Jazz team total moved from 115.5 points to 115.75, while the Clippers increased from 111 points to 111.75.

Utah’s been the best against the spread (ATS) team in the NBA, covering in 75% of their games this season. Los Angeles ranks fourth, covering in 58.6% of their games thus far. With that being said, the Clippers are slightly worse at home, where they own a 7-7 ATS record. Utah, on the other hand, boasts a 9-4 road ATS record this season.

These teams have been opposites in terms of the over/under. Los Angeles’ hit the over in 65.5% of their games, ranking fourth in the NBA. Utah ranks in the bottom-10, hitting the over in only 46.4% of their games. Their home and road splits for the game total are nearly identical, as well.

There are a few solid prop bets in this game, but only one prop boasts an A+ Karma Grade. Rudy Gobert’s assist total is set at 1.5, although his Karma Projection is only 1.2. This is the top prop bet of this game, per our Prop Predictor.

Gobert isn’t a player that facilitates the ball on a nightly basis. He’s averaging 1.3 assists in 30.1 minutes per game on the season. Gobert’s only averaging 1.0 assist in 32.5 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He’s posted fewer than 2 assists in 6 of his last 10 games, failing to record an assist in 5 of those contests.

Gobert will continue to play 30+ minutes on a nightly basis. He simply isn’t overly involved in the offense, and he generally gets touches around the rim, where he will be going up strong for a dunk. Even in a solid matchup, it’s easy to see why the Prop Predictor likes the under tonight.
